This is not the best home alarm systems, but it's cheap, easy to configure and very loud. that it would panic an amateur burglar and gives us some confidence.
The main input device is incorporated very simple. Open up the back and install three triple A batteries and then program a four digit code. You can also program the gadget to serve as a simple door chime, rather than an alarm systems, if desired. Install the gadget and magnetic door sensor that goes to the door frame and door. The set consists of double-sided adhesive tape and sensors have openings for you to use a wood screw or use a double-sided tape Velcro, but obviously it would be better to screw the sensors directly.Once you turn on the alarm systems, you have about 45 seconds to get to your apt / home. If you want to go into your armed home, open the door and then you have 30 seconds to disarm before your alarm is activated.
This alarm is extremely noisy, and I think even most feared unsuspecting thief and also potentially wake up your neighbors.
The gadget also includes three very simple window alarm and sensor pairs. Very easy to set up as they only have an on/off switch. Simply connect the sensor pairs, windows and activate the switch. If you want to open the window, turn the switch OFF, then open. It is really only a deterrent, but I believe in the power. In theory, a very relaxed, prepared burglar could just open your windows, Study and identify the device pool that the switch was. When the door alarm is very loud, Windows is not as loud alarm, and perhaps just acceptable.
Even if you live in an apartment/home building without any alarm systems, the system is infinitely better than if not all. The alarm is so horribly high that I'm better at night knowing that I have informed the appropriate time to trigger the invasion (less grace period of 30 seconds for the alarm) should be asleep. This may be part of a comprehensive security plan that could be more doors / window locks, lighting, signs of alarm system, alarm system, guard dogs, self-defense training, TASER, pepper spray, tactical flashlight, firearms, etc. It should include a personal security system to suit its own needs, your budget, practical concerns, etc.
